농림축산식품부와 한국농수산식품유통공사(aT)는 ‘태국 방콕 식품박람회(THAIFEX 2024)’에서 8600만 달러의 수출 상담 성과를 거뒀다고 3일 밝혔다.
aT에 따르면 지난달 28일부터 6월 1일까지 열린 태국 ‘방콕 식품박람회’는 세계 최대 식품박람회인 독일의 아누가(Anuga)를 주최하는 글로벌 전시기획사 쾰른메쎄와 태국 정부가 공동 주최하는 국제 박람회로, 52개국 3133개 업체가 참여하는 동남아 최대 박람회다.
앞서 농식품부와 aT는 이번 박람회에 참가하는 국내 수출업체의 현장 마케팅 효과를 높이기 위해 공동 샘플 전시관 운영 등 협업 프로젝트를 기획했다.
올해 초부터 약 46개 기관 담당자와 꾸준히 협의한 결과, 역대 최대 규모인 총 154개 업체로 ‘통합한국관’을 구성, 참가 업체의 네트워크 확대와 제품 홍보를 전폭 지원했다.
우수 K-푸드 수출업체들로 구성된 통합한국관에는 현지의 수요가 높은 즉석식품, 주류, 건강식품류, 소스류 등 다양한 품목들을 선보여 참관한 바이어들과 열띤 상담이 이뤄졌다.
특히 지방의 우수한 농특산물로 만들어진 ‘문경 오미자’, ‘보성 녹차’ 등이 현지인들의 큰 관심을 받았고 프리미엄 소주, 전통 막걸리 등 주류 제품에도 문의가 이어져 태국을 비롯한 아세안 지역 수출 확대에 기대를 모았다.
아세안 수출시장을 총괄하는 김경철 aT 아세안지역본부장은 "태국은 아세안 지역은 물론 서남아시아와 중동 지역으로의 중요한 수출 교두보"라며 "앞으로도 국내 수출업체들의 해외 진출을 늘리고 수출 성과가 확대될 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다"고 말했다.
